The project
I independently built a high-powered rocket with the objective of reaching an apogee above 2,000 feet and recovering the vehicle successfully. My work connected custom component design with stability analysis and hands-on construction.
ROCKETRY / DESIGN & BUILD
An independent rocket build combining custom CAD, stability analysis, and high-power rocketry certification.
I independently built a high-powered rocket with the objective of reaching an apogee above 2,000 feet and recovering the vehicle successfully. My work connected custom component design with stability analysis and hands-on construction.
Designed the nose cone and fins in SOLIDWORKS, taking the rocket from modeled components into a physical build.
Used OpenRocket to evaluate stability and refine the rocket design, with attention to airflow and flight behavior.
Earned Level 1 high-power rocketry certification through the National Association of Rocketry. The supplied membership card records HPR certification at Level 1.
